We’re picking up with Part II of Standing with Israel: An Absolute Must. If you missed part one, you can read it here. Now let’s continue expounding upon why true Christians stand with Israel.

7) The Gospel is the the Jew FIRST, AND THEN the Gentiles.

And you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. (Acts 1:8)

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. (Romans 1:16)

The Gospel came through the Jews and to the Jews FIRST. They were to evangelize the Jewish areas FIRST, AND THEN branch out to the Gentiles. We can’t allow the mindset of pagan conquerors to infiltrate the Church where we say “We’re the conquerors!” and try to rewrite history. You’ll fail.

8) We are grafted into the “tree” of Abraham.

And if the root is holy, so are the branches. And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and with them became a partaker of the root and fatness of the olive tree, do not boast against the branches. But if you do boast, remember that you do not support the root, but the root supports you. (Romans 11:16-18, see 16-24 for full context)

Christianity did not spring up by itself. Our faith is an Oak of Righteousness planted by the Rivers of Living Water thousands of years before the Word was made flesh. That is the tree were grafted into by faith and grace. And guess what happens when you separate a limb or a trunk from its roots? It dies.

9) Christians are to provoke the Jews to jealousy through our faith.

For I speak to you Gentiles; inasmuch as I am an apostle to the Gentiles, I magnify my ministry, if by any means I may provoke to jealousy those who are my flesh and save some of them. (Romans 11:13, 14)

We are not to shun our Jewish brethren, but rather, to provoke them to the “upgraded faith” and righteousness found only in faith and not works alone.

10) Christians are to join with Jews to create “one new man.”

For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity. (Ephesians 2:14-16)

Just as we are a tree or vine of Abraham, so are we are called to join with our Jewish brethren to and create one, united heir of Abraham! Unity is so important!

BONUS: Hatred of Israel is entirely unnatural and ungodly.

Remember what Amalek did to you on the way as you were coming out of Egypt, how he met you on the way and attacked your rear ranks, all the stragglers at your rear, when you were tired and weary; and he did not fear God. (Deuteronomy 25:17, 18)

Because Haman, the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, the enemy of all the Jews, had plotted against the Jews to annihilate them, and had cast Pur (that is, the lot), to consume them and destroy them; but when Esther came before the king, he commanded by letter that this wicked plot which Haman had devised against the Jews should return on his own head, and that he and his sons should be hanged on the gallows. (Esther 9:24, 25)

Anytime you find hatred of the Jews in Scripture, you find an ungodly mandate at work. Satan hates humanity. Through Abraham, all of humanity has been blessed. Through Abraham’s Seed, the head of the serpent was crushed. So with all this in mind, if you refuse to stand with Israel, want to divide the land that GOD gave them, see no problem with the demonically-inspired territorial spirit behind Islam, or wallow in apathy toward them, then you need to have a real come-to-Jesus moment and ask yourself what spirit is presiding over that mindset because I assure you it is NOT the Spirit of God!
