Gospel Today presents “This Week” – Christians & Valentine’s Day; Sexuality in Marriage

Gospel Today presents “This Week” explores the topics, people and issues impacting our world from the perspective of faith to answer the question, “How can we live out the Gospel today?”

On this week’s show the panel answers the question, “Should Christians celebrate Valentine’s Day?” Learn a little about the history of Valentine’s Day and hear from the panel on why Christians should or should not join in.

Next, we tackled sexuality from a Scriptural perspective—should “Christian sexuality” be any different than “sexuality”? Is the Church unduly obsessed with what people do in their bedrooms? If the body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, how does that impact the decisions we make concerning our sexuality?

Finally, we tackle singleness. Fewer people than ever are marrying in America yet statistics suggest that most people will tie the knot over the course of their lifetime. How well are churches serving this diverse population of unmarrieds? Is it time we reframed our idea of what ministry to singles should look like?
