A Gospel Christmas: Tim Bowman Jr. (GT Connext)

The November/December 2012 issue of Gospel Today included a 6-page spread– A Gospel Christmas. We profiled a dozen of your favorite gospel artists, who told us all about their Christmas traditions, memories and gift requests.

Make sure you take a look at the November/December 2012 issue to see what artists like Sunday Best winner Joshua Rogers, Smokie Norful, Amber Bullock, Charles Jenkins and MORE had to say!

We talked with so many artists, we couldn’t fit them all into the magazine. Like…

TIM BOWMAN JR.

Top of my Christmas list:
Spending a lot of quality time with my family would have to be on the top of my Christmas list every year! Between ministry, school, and everything else going on, it can get hard sometimes to find free time. So, it’s the little things that excite me.

Favorite family Christmas tradition:
Every year, my family visits my Auntie Vickie [Winans]‘s house to have a singing competition! (laughs) We are so competitive, so it\’s a lot of crazy runs and notes going on.

Favorite Christmas memory:
I would say that my favorite Christmas memory is sneaking downstairs on Christmas Eve and shaking the presents under the tree to guess what\’s inside!

Keeping Jesus Christ in Christmas:
I do what Jesus would do– give back! Every year around Christmastime, I make sure I take part in community service, visiting homeless shelters and buying presents for a family in need.

2012 has been a year of…
…new beginnings!

In 2013, I am looking forward to…
…a new year of opened doors!
