Mobilize Your Community Toward Health! (GT Connext)

In Gospel Today\’s March/April 2012 issue, our Health In Action column shared the importance of pastors and leaders encouraging healthy living in the local church community.

Here are a few quick, practical tips to mobilize your church community toward health!

1. Contact the COSHAR Foundation for a free copy of a health ministry toolkit, as well as a listing of scriptural references for health.

2. Join the COSHAR Foundation\’s “National Health Ministry Network,” which offers free resources and assistance in addressing health/wellness.

3. Visit HealthFinder.gov for a complete listing of nationally recognized health observances for 2012. Use the calendar to plan your community\’s events around these observances.
