Nashville’s 760 AM The Gospel to host Welcome Celebration for Stellar Gospel Music Awards

Nashville, Tenn. – (January 5, 2012) – 760 AM The Gospel (WENO-AM), will host the Official Stellar Awards Welcome Celebration on Wednesday, January 11, 2012, 7 p.m., at Cathedral of Praise, 4300 Clarksville Pike, Nashville, Tenn., 37218.

The station’s signature celebration is the first to open a series of industry events for the 27th annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards, a star-studded production honoring the biggest and brightest artists in Gospel music, and gives Nashville a chance to extend an official welcome from “Music City” to the nominees, hosts, attendees, staff, sponsors and supporters of the award show.

In partnership with Yes Lord Radio and Cathedral of Praise, this year\’s celebration features a diverse line-up of gospel musical guests including Veronica Petrucci, Pamela Crawford, Shree Newman-Isabell, Joint Heirs, and Kyla Jade, along with spoken word artist and 2012 Stellar Award nominee Michael Diallo McClendon.

“Our welcome celebration brings gospel artists, fans, and industry professionals out to show appreciation to the Stellar Gospel Music Awards for continuing to make Nashville its\’ host city,” said Orlando Boyd, general manager of 760 AM. “The station also provides this event as a platform to showcase the many talented artists in Nashville carrying the legacy of gospel music as it continues to thrive throughout the city and beyond.”

The station hosted its first welcome celebration in 2010 with Don Jackson, CEO and founder of the Stellar Gospel Music Awards, in attendance among local artists as well as city and state dignitaries. The station is also a contender for the 2012 Stellar Award as Radio Station of the Year.
